NUMBER 9: The Little Fire Engine

This is a companion to Choo-Choo: The Little Switch Engine, also illustrated by Clarence Blers. Number 9 and Old Jeff were considered too antiquated to be any good but they proved their stuff at a big fire. The same type of story as the Hurd's book on the Lothrop list, but somewhat younger.
