...who by now needs little introduction to TV audiences, makes his book appearance in these light hearted sequences written by his creator. From screen to pages come the adventures of our Mr. Peepers, earnest high school science teacher, witness to the more inconsequential foibles of his fellow man and of himself, adjuster of student dilemmas, and doting admirer of Nancy- whom he is about to marry as the book opens. Though chapter one sees Mr. Peepers rise joyfully, if confusedly, on his wedding day, thoughts of marriage cause him to ponder the past and the rest of the episodes form a series of flashbacks of recent events - army life, the new job at school, a ""wild"" week-end in Chicago, a meeting of butterfly specialists, inhibitions overcome in the face of Nancy's family and so forth. All these add up to pleasant T-v-rivia, for a ready market.
