BONGO

See P. 578, linking this with Mickey and the Beanstalk -- for the two together are merged in Disney's Fun and Fancy Free....Bongo is a pretty vapid picture- and not the sort of book children will like either. Bongo was a bear in a gilded cage who escapes into the wildwood where he meets life and love and beats the bully too. Frankly it strikes us as lachrymose, sentimental stuff. But the elaborate Big Golden Book Special format will give it a send off as merchandise.
