THE ADVENTURES OF MR. TOAD

Adapted in text and illustrations from the new Disney picture, Ichabod and Mr. Toad, which in its turn is based on Grahame's classic Wind in the Willows. The pictures are pure Disney, colorful cartoon style, which will appeal to definitely younger children than the text. A good deal of modernization has been done in jazzing up the story. Badger emerges as MacBadger and an airplane has been added to Mr. Toad's conveyances. His business arrangements, the deed to his house, the law courts, are all conceptions beyond the age level of the audience for picture books. The sale will be on merchandise level for the Disney fans, while the Grahame enthusiasts will shudder. Bound in laminated boards. A Big Golden Book.
