THE STORY OF MISS JEMIMA

This is deliberately set into the frame of ""Tell me a story about when you were a little girl"". A grandmother has taken her granddaughter to a hillside from which they can overlook the village where part of an unhappy childhood was spent. There she retells a favorite story of how she was almost bewitched. De la Mare has a faculty for blending fact and fancy and making both credible.
