KIRKUS REVIEW

A good idea and crammed full of interesting facts, demonstrating how Nature found a way to do all sorts of things long before Man:- birds before planes, water cactus before fountains, beavers before dam builders, self-protection in coloring before camouflage, etc. There is a serious fault in the make-up of the book, however, which will militate against its value for libraries and schools, -- that is the absence of subject headings, or falling that, of any sort of index.
