KIRKUS REVIEW

High adventure, horses of a lost Spanish grandee, and our friend, Alec Ramsey, are the ingredients of this sure-fire story. In a hidden valley, surrounded by impassable mountains, on an island once occupied by Spanish adventurers, it is rumored that a wild, free, beautiful band of horses runs unchecked. Horse-loving Alec, with an archaeologist friend, goes to the island for a vacation. The flame colored stallion and the boy, a bully man and a bully horse, are fused by the Farley touch into a story which makes the most fantastic adventures seem high truth to young readers. A growing market for this author, and our private teen-age reader says this ""is the best of the lot"".
