, just before Pearl Harbor, forms the background for this thrilling tale of adventure. Larry's father is a naval officer in charge of a destroyer seeking the home base of a mystery raider. Larry forms a friendship with a Hawalian youth and through him becomes involved with a mad adventure, seeking an uncharted island from which a cry for help had come. After incredible happenings, the boys reach the island, the base of the submarine, are captured, escape, and finally, between them, do their share in revealing the raider and the base to the proper authorities. Good melodrama, with all the stops pulled. Particularly timely; not literature!
