KIRKUS REVIEW

A story of active, happy boyhood in a Pennsylvania country town, with all the daily living that two healthy boys could enjoy detailed in the adventures of Bill Kingsley and his friend, Paul. They have one overwhelming desire- to own bikes, and their families decide that they should earn the money for them. A lot of planning and hard work go into the process, business propositions are weighed, a bit of luck comes to their aid, and lots of good muscle goes into the process before the bikes come through. True background of a generation back- adventure- a bit of mystery- and might-be-true quality. Good yarn.
