He contrasts the personalities of the two men, with brief biographical sketches, and comments on their achievements and the people surrounding them. He urges broader view -- and yet gives nothing concrete to prove that they have done anything deserving the friendship he claims for them. He looks at them and their works uncritically, and fails to prove his point.
