A paean to the Loyal Order of the Moose dedicated to, and mainly of interest to, the men and women who belong to it. The author gives a brief sketch of the origins of the benevolent fraternities, which in the present day are led by the Masons in regard to ritual and tradition, by the Woodsmen in beneficial insurance, and the Moose in the service to humanity, according to the author. Beginning as the Odd Fellows Club essentially for the literary and theatrical fields, the Moose fraternity broadened its membership through the years, and grew under the leadership of Davis, Giles, and others. Its two main projects, faithfully described here, are Mooseheart, an institution for fatherless children, and Moosehaven, a home for the old. Members of the Moose number 1,200,000 -- expect your sales from among them, and perhaps from other friendly orders.
