KIRKUS REVIEW

Add this lovely picture book to your sporting book list, and let your customers who want to collect fine things in this field know about it. There are brief introductory comments on Polo by Stewart Iglehart, on Hunting by Henry G. Vaughan, on Steeplechasing by William du Pont, Jr. But it is first and last a collection of 65 beautiful drawings of horses, -- horses in action, horses in repose, hounds, and owners of horses and hounds. It is a perfect gift book for anyone, of any age, who loves horses and sport. A beautiful piece of book making -- large quarto, bound in white cloth lithographed in a plaid pattern. The artist knows his horses, and each full page drawing has a pithy caption, marking the authenticity of his knowledge. He is widely known by sportsmen, and this is the first time his drawings have been brought together in book form. Here's a good chance for some plus business.
