KIRKUS REVIEW

A ""second string"" Deeping, but none the less, a book that will qualify for the female branch of the Deeping market. The same old pattern -- two lonely people who find each other, the one with a shadow in the past, the other seeking to restore his own sense of proportion. More than his usual sentimentality, with a blend of earthy characterizations and fairy-tale romance. Rental libraries.
