KIRKUS REVIEW

From Boston, 'round Cape Horn to San Francisco, Commodore and Ann -- children of the author -- help sail the schooner WANDER BIRD. This is not for confirmed landlubbers, but for those who like salt, spume and sailor jargon. This is fact, not fancy which accounts for the lack of hair-breadth escapes from icebergs, typhoons, etc. But there's enough excitement to keep ten year olds absorbed.
