HEARN'S VALLEY

Hugh Moberly's instinctive distrust and dislike of Vic Hearn, a ruthless range king, is well backed up when Hearn offers a job to Hugh's father- to get at his mother, kills off Sam Moberly, and sets four of his men on Hugh. Surviving the rough treatment, Hugh finds an ally in schoolteacher Clemens, loses him to Hearn's gun, but finally gets his long overdue revenge. Able and adamantine.
