TALL BASEBALL STORIES by Wee Willie Little

TALL BASEBALL STORIES

By

Pub Date: April 5th, 1948
Publisher: Association Press

Just what the title and author lines suggest- a collection of short, very funny baseball stories, in the folksy Paul Bunyan tradition. These stories have proved a delight to boys around a campfire, to rainy day indoor captives in the city, to any boys who will listen anywhere to a tall tale. For those not in the know, Wee Willie Little is purported to have been ""ex-mascot of the Lightfoot Lillies"" -- and Amarant always tried to get a seat near him so he could listen in on his yarns of baseball long ago. Now he's written them down -- after repeated requests- so boys can chuckle over them today. Maybe their fathers will listen in, too.
