KIRKUS REVIEW

A fine introduction to helicopters and the peculiarities of their flight presents a complete basic description of how they are flows as well as the history of their development and the different types in operation today. Many diagrams and drawings by Frederick G. Cook, especially of the aerodynamic forces and construction, that give the helicopter its special characteristics, illustrate the text and make it especially attractive to youngsters who want the inside dope. The book is British in slant, but as flight conditions are similar to those in the U.S., information is applicable to both sides of the Atlantic.
