HOW FLETCHER WAS HATCHED

Cracked. Because newly-hatched chicks are taking all of Alexandra's attention, her hound dog Fletcher lets his friends Beaver and Otter build a giant (pink) egg around him. ""It looks like a Flat-Billed Prehistoric Scratchafratch,"" pronounces one pedant. ""Or perhaps it is the Web-footed Pickle-Faced Dinaflyer,"" cries another. But Alexandra won't look, all she wants is Fletcher--who bursts out of the shell and delivers a little sermon on being loved for yourself.
