An overall picture of the multitudinous ramifications of Agriculture, from the farmer himself, to the pressure groups, lobbyists and all those having a finger in the pe. A record of governmental programs, of legislation, policies, of benefits, bounties, of the potency of senators, congressmen, of cooperatives, the National Grange, the American Farm Bureau, the National Farmer's Union, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, of issues, personalities, fights, that center in Washington and affect the whole nation. A picture of the ""larder of Democracy"" sometimes locked, sometimes robbed, by various interests, of the big problems of beef, milk, margarine, of the divided situations and coalitions that are reflected in national inequalities of food distribution, of the bad, and little of the good, that results from such highpressure ""protection"". The lid off a brew, not comforting to the consumer.
