KIRKUS REVIEW

This is an excellent early starter for readers in bionics. It is devoted soley to the various ways in which animals, birds, fish and insects move around. The photographs and drawings are large and clear and the text is straightforward description that does not force the mechanical analogies on the natural phenomena but often lets the point make itself through illustration or implication. By the author of The Tale of a Meadow and The Tale of a Pond. Top grade science non-fiction for the youngest readers in this age group.
