RAMBLING HALFBACK A Brone Burnett Story

Passions and pigskins fly in the latest football yarn concerning young Bronc and Sonora High's season. This time Coach Al Carter suggests a new formation to help Sonora hit the victory road as representative of Sapello Valley. The formation is patterned on famous ""star"" formations of the past in which the plays are built around one player -- in this case, Bronc Burnett. However, Bronc finds he must buck the jealousy of Collie Denton who resents Bronc's supremacy. A humiliating ""outlaw"" scrimmage with a rival team in which the Sonora boys are beaten, sobers the wavering Collie and a generous gesture by Bronc Burnett then wins him the admiration of his coach and teammates. Abundant football for the fans and Bronc followers.
