PHYSICS CAN BE FUN by Wilhelm H. Westphal

PHYSICS CAN BE FUN

By

Pub Date: Sept. 17th, 1965
Publisher: Hawthorn

To maintain that physics is fun for over two hundred pages would be quite a task for anyone. While the tone is suitably conversational and the examples picked have imaginative vitality, the extent of the coverage and the explanations are often overly involved for really enjoyable reading. While Dr. Westphal discusses many of the principles of conventional physics in not so conventional ways (e.g. singing in the bathtub and sound) the overall results more pedantry than pleasure.
