THE HARVEST FEAST

These collections of stories built around heydays and holidays are proving extremely useful for school libraries and public libraries, for story tellers and program directors. This new one is a collection of Thanksgiving stories, skilfully edited, so that even the extracts from full length books read as short stories. Old times and new, in well balanced rations; stories for children of varying ages and interests. The asterisks in the table of contents indicate stories for younger children. There is adventure, humor, pathos, romance; there is some history and some poetry. Included are stories by such well known writers as Cornelia Meigs, Constance Skinner, Carolyn Balley, Carl Sandburg, Mary Wilkins Freeman and others.
