An excellent, though by no means exhaustive, collection of stories of horses, some of them short stories, some, factual tales, some few taken from longer books, and included either as incidents or skillfully abridged rounded stories. Miss Harper is an expert anthologist, and this is a surely popular subject. The Paul Brown illustrations are a seal of the quality of the whole.
