BABY ELEPHANT AND THE SECRET WISHES

Fourth in a popular series, this is a Christmas Eve family story, which again manages to capture in Baby Elephant familiar ideas to every four or five years old (or even younger). A secret is made to tell- so it seems- as Baby Elephant demands of each member of his family what is that secret wish for a Christmas gift- and could it perhaps be just what Baby Elephant has made as a surprise? There's humor and a sense of give and take between a child and an understanding grown-up that conveys once more that sense of happy security in the family picture. This is one series where the personification of animals never offends the reader.
