SEAWATCHERS

An interesting and informative narrative account of the unexplored mysteries of the oceans and of the shipboard oceanographers who study them. In describing the activities, methods and instruments of the scientists. Bixby includes a great deal of information about the oceans also. Included at the end is a chart of some major oceanographic voyages of the past century giving the country of origin, the ocean explored and the major purpose of the study. A fitting companion to Mr. Bixby's earlier Skywatchers and a very readable addition to the many books on oceanography.
