SUPER STOCK ROOKIE

Success sometimes brings its own challenges, as Trace Bonham finds out when he wins the Super Stock tryouts at Rivers Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D., picks up a corporate sponsor and becomes a well-paid Super Stock driver. Overnight, he goes from amateur dirt-track racing to representing an international agribusiness conglomerate that uses him in their marketing strategy for a new energy drink. Though Trace has achieved his goal, he quickly realizes the costs: leaving home and a girl behind, no more racing on his own and no driving his own car. Weaver draws from his auto-racing experience to continue Trace’s story from Saturday Night Dirt (2008) and to bring to life the small-town, dirt-track racing world.
