AFRICAN ADVENTURE

The sixth in a series of Adventure books revolving around Hal and Roger Hunt, this follows the thrilling trail of an African safari on which the boys face countless perils in order to capture alive a hippo, three buffalo, two giraffes and several other species. With one dozen cars and trucks capable of pursuing prey at forty miles per hour, they embark on their mission. Incidents involving bear cubs, hyenas, apes, and elephants along with many other inhabitants of the Central African jungle pit the boys against obstacles that actually exist in this primitive world. Children who have enjoyed the boys' previous escapades -- Adventure, South Sea Adventure, Underwater Adventure, Volcano Adventure and Whale Adventure, will take up the vicarious challenge with enthusiasm.
