The author of Rig for Church (P. 240 -- 1942) is now the Roman Catholic Chaplain of the Pacific Fleet. He picks up, in this book, loose stitches in further autobiographical memoirs and tributes to men of the Navy and Marines. Oddments of episodes and heroics, from Herbert Jones who won the Congressional Medal of Honor to the Astoria which was lost in the Solomons, to ""missing men"" and families who wished to get back from the Hawaiians to the states, of other chaplains who helped keep the faith, of his own diversified duties, of his appearance on radio programs, and of the way in which he became identified with ""praise the Lord and pass the ammunition"". Not as substantial a book as his first, but he has --in the interim -- built up a more general market.
