HELL IS CITY

Timothy Dane is hired by a New York city newspaper to get the facts behind the shooting of a vice squad officer whose murder is used as a campaign crusade by the presiding political triumvirate on the eve of an election. But the attempt to make a martyr of Wells becomes more and more damaging with the evidence of a youngster he'd fixed on a heroin charge in order to get at his sister; Dane is a moving target but is able to keep his proteges alive- so ultimately the full facts can be heard- and a powerful machine broken... Headline scareheads provide an ugly scrimmage.
