KIRKUS REVIEW

Another assignment for Timothy Dane, when he is hired by Austin Rebow to retrieve the diary of his daughter Diane, a premature piece of eighteen whose escapades have been foolish rather than innocent. Extortion and the brutal killing of the blackmailer, Diane's continued insubordination, leads to a nasty nest of narcotics and politics from which Dane extricates himself with difficulty. One of the slicker shamuses, on a rough route.
