THE GOSPEL OF LUKE; THE LETTER TO THE CORINTHIANS

These are two volumes of the Daily Study Bible Series, compiled and edited by the Reverend William Barclay, professor of New Testament and Greek in the University of Glasgow. Published first in Edinburgh, their usefulness and popularity as study has prompted their being published in this country. Like earlier volumes in this by Dr. Barclay who is undertaking to provide a similar volume for each book in the Testament, the aim is to make the results of modern scholarship available to the technical reader in a form that does not require a college education to understand; and then to seek to make the teaching of the New Testament books relevant to life and today. The writer has succeeded in giving us studies that are readable, reliable and reverent, and study classes should find them just the sort of help that earnest needs.
