When Ron arrives to coach the Turbines, an industrial basketball team in lower Pennsylvania, he does not anticipate the trouble which follows his arrival. He gains the respect of the team when he knocks out tough Bo McCloud in a boxing match, and gains prominence in the town when he catches up with some juvenile delinquents, and starts them on a road to basketball. The fast moving story is crammed with play-by-play accounts, as was The Wonder Five (1962, p. 570, J-168) by the same author. All muscle and rock--, it is pure in masculine appeal.
