HELEN ALL ALONE

An extravagant entertainment moves against an elegant background to danger- the British legation in a satellite country where Helen Clark is sent, on an ill-defined mission, presumably as governess to the small, motherless daughter of the British Minister whose loyalties are now in doubt. Mark Ogilvy, the diplomat in default, proves evasively vague; less so the attempts to get rid of Helen- by the secret police. And finally her attempts to save Mark from himself, and Victoria from their enemies, lead to a getaway-under fire- and the loss of the man she loves.... For the MacInnes market, highhanded drama.
