KIRKUS REVIEW

A more temperate tale than others of this author, this concentrates on exfoot-baller, Brock Callahan's efforts not to be a cheap peeper when he opens an investigative agency in Beverly Hills. Looking for the vanished fiancee of a prize fighter, he comes on murder which in turn brings a socialite brother and sister to his office, shows up a syndicate organizing youngsters for crime under a kill-crazy leader, and another killing. Another dame, a squeal from one of the kids, and Brock is on his way to find Rosa. Hard on the furniture.
