Ex-football star and current private eye Brock (The Rock) Callahan, still spatting with Jan, investigates the murder of a former Hollywood star, Miss Milgrim, whose mansion (early Pathe) has been sold to his recently acquired uncle. The aging actress' past is probed; her relationship with the Svengali who lived off her; her break with her brother; and her will-- and a whiff of an old scandal finally scents the trail of the killer.... Obvious, obstreperous entertainment.
