This novel of two brothers just touches on some of the play-for-pay conditions which obtain in college football. Older brother Tom gets an athletic scholarship to Northern while pint-sized Midge (Little Big Foot -- he's a great field goal icker) makes Sierra the school of his choice. At Sierra you can also study. In me. Tom defects from Northern, while Midge keeps his respect for both work and playing ball. As against Big Swat, also in this issue, this would seem the better choice although it's a less interesting story per se and certainly less of an unedifying education. Gault is always reliable and this is especially for those youngsters who like the game-by-game rundown.
