A discussion of the recent presidential election which indicates- more broadly- the danger of blocked channels of information, controlled communications, and the need for a ""healthy critical mind"". More specifically, some of the prophets-now without honor- come under scrutiny, as do their unhappy utterances- the press, radio commentators, the columnists and the pollsters. Even so this is a pretty slim excuse for a book, and if one is needed -- Lindsay Rogers' THE POLLSTERS (Knopf), reported below, is far superior.
