KIRKUS REVIEW

Dog trainers possess a God-given patience and approach and the author is one of those lucky devils who was present when this ability was given out. However, the average dog owner will find his book an invaluable aid to training the pet either to be a gentleman at home or a show dog, winning his C.D., C.D.X., etc., awards in Obedience Trials. Besides giving all the training information, the book pretty thoroughly covers the selection, selling, buying, and breeds of dogs. Obedience trials are now such an important part of all shows that most cities or sections have dog-training classes, so locate the one nearest to you and do a nice quantity business on this book. You might take some copies out to one of the classes, or arrange an exhibition of obedience work at your local library, some school gymn or hall, and sell books before and after the exhibit.
