Metaphysics comes to light love in the form of an expanded two-shot from Red Book. It's a stunt idea, told with a certain slickness, about the young aviator, Terence Waynedon, shot down in the war who promises to return to his girl, Barbara. He does so twenty years later, in the body of a boy, David, but with the mind and past experiences of the dead Terence -- remembering all that happened. And he finds Barbara again, a woman of forty, who faces baby-snatcher smut from the tabloids to marry the boy. Some trick gadgets in the telling, and nice enough for rentals.
