In general tone and argument, it is a book for the early post high-school years, and should be of particular value and comfort to those considering a career in the ministry or in religious education. The author's main point is that a genuine belief in God is another relationship, differing from human relationships of course, but nevertheless requiring an understanding of self and others just as social or marital situations do. The book is low pressure, Protestant uplift and the style is relaxed and persuasive. The comparison between known psychological insights and religious behavior is set forth in an interesting way.
