The latest volumes of the Daily Study Bible, written by William Barclay, of Trinity College, Glasgow. The aim of these studies is ""to make the results of modern scholarship available to the non-technical reader in a form that it does not require a theological education to understand,--and then to seek to make the teaching of the New Testament books relevant to life and work today."" This aim is more than realized by these present volumes, which make the riches of St. John's Gospel, already perhaps the most widely read and best loved book of the New Testament, abundantly available with an almost verse by verse exposition. The study therefore becomes a rather lengthy one, but the careful Bible student will be glad to match the patience and care that has gone into the writing of these books, with his own, and feel deeply rewarded.
