THE SHOELACE ROBIN

Learning how to lace shoes is one of the first serious hurdles of childhood! Here a robin gives little Michael a lesson, with the help of Robert Lawson pictures, pictures in a new Lawson technique, but with his humor and imagination. This strikes us as a much better book, fundamentally, than Hall's popular Watch The Pony Grow. There's a fairly sturdy heavy paper shoe fastened to the inside back cover which makes this a how-to-do-it book as well as a picture and read aloud book.
