JUNIOR QUARTERBACK

A serious year at an upper class Long Island boarding school clears young Alan MacGregor from the stigmas of cowardliness and the inability to live up to his alumnus father's previous record as a star athlete. First thing, Alan is disgraced while climbing the school's bogey, the water tower- and has to be carried down. A subsequent flight from school is short lived and things begin to right themselves when one of the masters urges Alan to play football. Hardy scrimmages bring growing compatibility with the boys and a chance to play in a big game at the year's end. A bit deeper than the average. Use for thirteen year olds too.
