The amazing experiences of an Englishman who fought in the imperial Russian army as a motor cycle dispatch rider. Sent to Central Asia on secret service duty, became a bolshevist Commissar, had interviews with Lenin and Trotsky, made an attempt to wipe out the Central Committee, escaped to England, became liaison officer with the Air Ministry, and -- after the war --had amazing adventures in commercial ventures in Turkey, Rumania and Georgia. He puts a burden on one's credulity, which makes it poor history and only fair autobiography -- but, read as an adventure yarn it ranks with better than average melodrama.
