THE GOD MACHINE

A capitalist 1984 where failure to check the corporate polluters bas led to recurrent thermal inversions and an epidemic of a lung disease called Clogging. Suffocation and starvation are both common but citizens who suggest it's not the best of all possible worlds find themselves brainwashed or killed by the Rehabilitation Squad. An intrepid underground does battle with the establishment using a secret weapon that can shrink a building to the size of a walnut. The theme is timely but the plot and technology are strictly Flash Gordon.
