SUBMARINE WOLFPACK

A short novel features a single incident of naval action, mans not too familiar battle stations- in fiction form, and tells of a wolfpack operation when three submarines, under the command of Josh Baker, track a Japanese destroyer. While Baker on the Lamprey has had both experience and a record of courage, Paul Harmon, skipper of the Remerra, is overanxious to fulfill his father's last words-""Come you back a hero or come not home at all"", and the Hagfish's Reardon, a Reserve, is given too much to thinking- not necessarily in military terms. The novel concentrates here on the single episode, as the three submarines pursue their target, and Josh Baker goes down with his in the final encounter... A stand by here-for a conventional masculine market.
