KIRKUS REVIEW

Inadequate space for noting this beautiful book which should prove a successor to the long standard Breasted. The authors confine themselves to the Golden Age of Egypt's greatness, and to that age bring the results of the amazing generation of archeological research, added to the findings of the earlier period, from Napoleon on. With these facts they convey a well rounded picture of life, art, government, religion. Not enough of the story of the diggings -- though that is implicit.
