Raine dependable, and always good for the Santa Fe region, for he spins a good tale. There is less gun shooting than the bloodhounds desire, perhaps, for our cowboy hero works for a newspaper, and runs his own ranch on the side. The paper is owned by a girl, and there are all sorts of undercurrents of trouble over old Spanish land grants, papers in the newspaper files, feuds between big owners and small and a gang that uses the girl as decoy. But between them, the cowboy and his girl employer clean up the gang.
