ARCTIC ADVENTURE by William MacMillan

Email this review

Adventure story of a trip taken by two cousins, Dan who is 16, and 17-year old Jim, with an explorer for a museum, Dr. Brunton. They experience all conceivable northern adventures, -- adrift on ice, hunting seal, walrus, wolverine, bear, snow blindness, and so on. The doctor and a Mounted Police Corporal contribute enormously to their fast growing knowledge of the people, the land, the animals, the customs, but their initial ignorance and personal squabbles lead them into plenty of trouble. Cut off from their ip and base of supplies, the doctor guides them to safety....Plenty of factual material interwoven with plausible youthful adventuring.
